Senior military commander loyal to coalition killed in Marib

MARIB, Dec. 13 (YPA) – A senior commander loyal to Saudi-led coalition forces was killed on Monday during clashes with  Yemeni army forces at the southern entrance to Marib city in eastern Yemen.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal on Sunday, based on the testimonies of local sources.

According to the sources Major General Nasser al-Thaibani, the commander of the military operations in “ Hadi forces”  was killed during the past hours in the front of al-Balaq in Marib.

Al-Thaibani considered the third official in Hadi’s forces and its field commander in Marib.

He was known for his fiery remarks against the UAE, accusing Abu Dhabi of deliberately targeting Hadi’s forces with airstrikes on the Sirwah front, after which he was subjected to  several assassination attempts that all survived.
