SANAA, Nov. 16 (YPA) – Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdulmohsen Tawoos, on Monday stressed the importance of strengthening the partnership with the OCHA in Yemen to support the humanitarian field.
This came during his discussion in Sanaa with the Deputy Head of the UN OCHA Office in Yemen, Andrea Noyes, the office’s interventions in Hodeida province.
In the meeting, Tawoos referred to the critical situation that the citizens of Hodeida suffer from as a result of the worsening humanitarian crisis.
Tawoos confirmed that the Council provides all facilities to the organizations to deliver humanitarian and shelter aid to those in need to limit the deterioration of the humanitarian situation.
In turn, Noyes affirmed OCHA’s keenness to deliver aid to the targeted groups, praising the role of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs in providing facilities for the success of the organizations’ work.
