KHARTUOM, Nov. 04 (YPA) – Sudanese state television reported on Thursday evening that Sudan’s military chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan ordered the release of four ministers of the ousted government of Abdalla Hamdok detained in the coup.
Al-Burhan received a telephone call from UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
They addressed developments in Sudan.
The UN Secretary-General encouraged the developments of all efforts toward resolving the political crisis in Sudan and urgently restoring the constitutional order and Sudan’s transitional process.
He reiterated his call for the release of Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok and other civilians arbitrarily detained in Sudan.
Antonio Guterres reaffirmed that the United Nations will continue to stand with the people of Sudan as they strive to fulfill their aspirations for a peaceful, prosperous and democratic future.
