Zakat authority distributes 15,00 food baskets in Marib

MARIB, Oct. 27 (YPA) – The General Authority for Zakat distributed 1,500 food baskets to poor families affected by Saudi-led  aggression in the liberated in the area of Harib Bayhan in Marib province.

During the inauguration, Mohammed al-Ayani, acting undersecretary of the banking sector at the Authority, confirmed that the Authority had allocated an emergency response committee in to inspect the living conditions of citizens and to provide relief to the affected families.

He pointed out the Zakat Authority is paying a great a attention  to Marib  province   through establishing many projects in various fields, especially in economic empowerment, the health aspect and medical camps.

Saleh al-Saqqaf, director of the Office of the General Authority for Zakat in the province, explained that the total value of food baskets amounts to 37,500,000 riyals.
