Full military battalion joins Sanaa forces after defecting from coalition forces in Shabwa

SHABWA, Oct. 07 (YPA) – Local sources in Shabwa province on Thursday said that hundreds of Saudi-led coalition recruits in the province had defected and joined the forces of Sanaa with all their military equipment.

The sources indicated that “Mohammed Hashala Al-Masabi”, a battalion commander in the so-called “26th Brigade” of the coalition forces in Bihan axis, announced his defection from the coalition forces and joining the Sanaa forces, after handing over all the weapons in his possession that he received from the coalition.

The commander, Al-Masabi, was recently appointed by the governor of the “Hadi government” in Shabwa as general director of Ain district.
