MARIB, Sept. 26 (YPA) – The Yemeni army and popular committees were able on Sunday to take control over al-Khashina camp, one of the most important camps of coalition’s troops in Marib province, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.
The sources affirmed that fierce battles erupted among Sanaa forces and coalition’s mercenaries over the past hours in Umm Reesh desert of al-Jauba district in south of Marib city.
According to the sources, coalition’s mercenaries sites were subjected to a wide-scale military attack carried out by the army’s forces.
The sources pointed out that Salvation government troops were able to secure “Al-Khashina” camp, in which the Axis commander stored the weapons he was receiving from coalition’s countries.
The army seized a large military arsenal, including armored vehicles, tanks, and cannons.
That comes one day after controlling strategic Harah and al-Najad areas that separate Hareeb, al-Abdyiah districts and al-Juba desert.
