Army steps up offensive against coalition forces in western coast

HODIEDAH, June 10 (YAP) – The Yemeni army stepped up an offensive against sites and gatherings of US-backed Saudi-led coalition forces and militias in the western coast front, a military official told Yemen Press Agency on Sunday.

The offensive targeted the militias in al-Odain Junction in Hais district, killing dozens and capturing others, despite of heavy air cover by the coalition fighter jets to back their militias on the ground.

The operation came after the Yemeni army’s spokesman vowed to wage a new tactical military operation against the Saudi-led coalition and its militias in the western coast front.
