Iranian parliament votes of giving confidence to Raisi’s minters except one minister

TEHRAN, Aug. 26 (YPA) – Iran’s parliament On Wednesday voted in favor of giving confidence to the government formed by new president, Ibrahim Raisi, with the exception of one minister.

 

The candidate for the Ministry of Education did not have the confidence of the Iranian parliament.

 

The candidate for Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdullahian, won the confidence of parliament by a decisive vote.

 

Parliament also approved the appointment of ministers of security, defence, economy, health, business, agriculture, justice, roads, industry, trade, higher education, culture, interior, tourism, oil, energy, youth and sports.

 

Defending his cabinet on Wednesday, Iran’s new president said his people would not be able to tolerate further differences between the government and parliament, vowing to prosecute any corrupt official, whatever his position.

 

“However, the accusations made about the corruption of some of the candidates for the ministries have not been substantiated and they have been completely acquitted,” he said.
