WHO: North Korea free of Covid-19

SANAA, Aug. 18 (YPA) – The World Health Organization (WHO) report revealed that no cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in North Korea to date.

The report showed that North Korea conducted diagnostic tests for Coronavirus on 639 residents between July 30 and August 5, but all test results were negative, bringing the cumulative number of Covid-19 test subjects to 35,947, with no casualties reported so far.

In a related context, North Korea was supposed to receive 1992,000 doses of CORONAVIRUS vaccines through the International Co-co-co-vaccine purchase system Kovacs, while vaccine supplies have not yet begun.

The UN Security Council’s North Korea Sanctions Committee recently granted UNICEF sanctions exemption for the North Korean health support project for an additional year.
