SANAA, Aug. 12 (YPA) – Turkey’s Emergency and Natural Disasters Administration said four people died on Thursday in heavy floods in Kastamonu state on Turkey’s Black Sea coast.
“Four people were killed in the floods in Kastamonu, and one was missing in Bartin,” the department added in its statement.
The administration indicated that search and rescue operations in the natural disaster area are still continuing.
Earlier, the Turkish authorities reported 13 people affected and injured as a result of floods, torrential rains and mudslides in the states of Sinop, Barten and Kastamonu.
The authorities stated that inmates of a hospital in Ivandjik, Sinop state, were evacuated.
