SANAA, Jul. 25 (YPA) – Two Turkish soldiers were killed and two were injured in an attack on a military vehicle in northern Syria, Turkey’s defence ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
The attack against an armored vehicle occurred in the “Euphrates Shield area,” according to a statement by the Defense Ministry
Attacks have increased recently in northern Syria, and Ankara often accuses Kurdish armed Units of trying to destabilize the region.
Turkey is conducting military operations against Kurdish factions in north Syria, which it considers an extension of the PKK, which Ankara classifies as a terrorist organization.
