Trump criticizes Biden administration’s negotiations with OPEC

SANAA, Jul. 25 (YPA) – Former President Donald Trump has criticized the administration of his successor, Joe Biden, for negotiations with OPEC and Russia on oil.

“They’re negotiating with OPEC and Russia while we have oil to the point where we don’t know what to do with it,” Trump said in an Arizona interview.

Under him, the Former President of the United States was independent in the field of energy.

The United States is not involved in the OPEC and OPEC negotiations, although it has said it supports an agreement between the largest oil producers.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-OPEC members, known as OPEC+, agreed at an online meeting last Sunday to increase oil production by 400,000 barrels per day in parallel with increased demand.

OPEC and its non-OPEC allies also reached an agreement to phase out the cut of 5.8 million barrels per day  of oil production by September 2022 “subject to market conditions.”
