Coalition responds to rejection of its terms by bombing Sanaa

SANAA, June 6 (YPA) – Saudi-led coalition’s response to Sanaa authorities’ rejection of its conditions conveyed by the UN envoy, came soon after he left Yemen, where the coalition warplanes intensified air raids on civilians’ homes in the capital Sanaa and some provinces.

The coalition air raids on Tuesday hit al-Jiraf neighborhood and Hadda street, which are densely populated areas, and resulted in injuring nine civilians, including two women, and damage to citizens’ houses and property.

This reflects the United Nations’ inability to take any decision or exercise any pressure to protect civilians, as well as its complicity with the coalition.

Before his arrival in Sanaa, the UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith, visited Riyadh, and met with the Saudi party and the exiled resigned president Hadi.

Informed sources said that there were conditions put forward by the coalition to the UN envoy to present it during his visit to Sanaa.

According to leaked information, the Sanaa authorities rejected those conditions Griffith carried from Riyadh.

Many political observers are still reading UN moves to stop the war, from several angles. Some of them see that the UN is essentially working for the interests of the major powers, and others indicate that the UN is moving only when the military fronts begin to step up, to save a party in the arena.
