Russia unveils its new fighter “Kesh Malak”

MOSCOW, Jul. 21 (YPA) – The Russian State Corporation for Technological Industries “Rostec” on Tuesday unveiled its new fifth-generation warplane, which it called “Kesh Malak”.

“Russia Today” TV channel quoted chairman of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, as saying that the estimated cost of the new Russian fighter ranges between 25 and 30 million dollars.

“We have a price, I hope, somewhere in the range of $25 to $30 million, and they have $60 to $90 million,” he added.

Chemezov indicated that the “Kesh Malek” fighter will use the same engine as the “Su-57” fifth-generation fighter jet.

He continued, “This is a fifth-generation lightweight fighter. There are similar fighters in the world, such as (F-35), (Cribin) and (Rafale), but we have set ourselves the task of providing a very cheap and efficient aircraft.”
