Islah arrests senior leader in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jun. 23 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed Islah Party’s militants kidnapped on Wednesday a senior leader in Shabwa province, according to sources.

The sources said that a member of the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s General Secretariat, Ahmed Nasser Al-Haij Al-Awlaki, and other numbers were arrested in a security point while they returning from the city of Aden, to Shabwa.

The Islah authorities in Shabwa continue to carry out their campaign to arrest the leaders of the “STC”, in conjunction with the latter’s call to hold a mass demonstration in Abadan area of Nisab district in Shabwa next Saturday, to protest violations against citizens.
