STC warns against using services card for political blackmail

ADEN, March 31 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias warned the Saudi-exiled Hadi government of using the services card for political blackmail.

The STC called on the exiled government to move away from policy of collective punishment, and exploiting the needs of citizens in the southern provinces.

It called on the government to quickly implement its obligations towards the rights of civilian and military citizens, with regard to salaries, stop the collapse of the local currency’s value, and provide basic services.

The council refused to use live bullets against the demonstrators in Hadramout, following the protests calling for improving services and living conditions in the governorate.
