UN Secretary-General warns rich countries

SANAA, March 30 (YPA) – The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, criticized the “unfair distribution” of anti-corona virus vaccines in the world, and called on the rich countries that store huge quantities of these vaccines to share part of them with the rest of the world.

Guterres said in an interview with the Canadian (CBC) television network broadcast last night: I am very concerned about this unfair distribution of vaccines in the world.

He appealed to the developed countries to share with the poor countries part of the vaccines that they have bought, stressing that these countries “in many cases have bought more than they need.”

The Secretary-General of the United Nations expressed his regret at the difficulties encountered in the work of (Kovacs) the mechanism established by the World Health Organization to make vaccines available to low-income countries, explaining the reasons for these difficulties to “storing large quantities of vaccines and imposing” restrictions on exports “and (Kovacs) not obtaining what Enough money.
