Security official escapes assassination attempt in Lahj

LAHJ, March 25 (YPA) – A security official in the UAE-backed southern transitional council escaped on Thursday an assassination attempt in Lahj province, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the sources, gunmen were riding a motorcycle shot at al-Maflahi security manager, Abdual-Qawi Abdal, who was standing near his home in Laadan Bin Abdal area.

The sources declared that Abdal was shot, leaving no injuries, then the gunmen fled.
