UAE transports drones to Mayon Island in Taiz

SANAA, March 08 (YPA) – The UAE has transported several drones to Yemen’s Island of Mayon in Taiz province.

Al-Jazeera TV revealed in an investigation that the UAE established a runway for military aircraft on the Island.

The investigation said that satellite images showed Emirati military installations on Mayon Island in Bab al-Mandab, coinciding with dismantling UAE military base in Assab port of Eritrea.

“That the UAE had set up an aircraft runway and transported a number of drones from the port of Assab to the Yemeni island of Mayon,”it added.

The UAE worked throughout the years that the coalition has been waging the war on Yemen to strengthen its presence on the Yemeni islands, especially Socotra, with US and Israeli support.
