FM Deputy Meets ICRC Delegation’s Head  to Yemen

SANAA, May 27 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Azzi met with  the head of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Yemen, Francois Morillon, in Sanaa.

During the meeting, the officials discussed ways of cooperation between the government and the ICRC.

Al-Azzi called on the ICRC delegation to activate its role in calling for respect the international humanitarian law and human rights law in Yemen, which is violated daily by Saudi-led coalition aggression countries, like targeting of the oil company in the capital Sana’a.

For his part, Morillon stressed on the keenness of the Committee to continue its humanitarian tasks  and contribute to the alleviation of the humanitarian situation in Yemen.
