SANAA, Feb. 26 (YPA) – Amnesty International Organization on Thursday organized a rally to protest the French arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
At the rally that held in the French capital, Paris, the protesters called on the French authorities to “prohibit the export of weapons to the two countries, against the background of the human rights violations committed in Yemen.
The participants raised banners, which included expressions protesting France’s position on the Yemen war, including “French hypocrisy”.
The Organization added that these demonstrations would be the part of a campaign to mark the passage of 6 years of the conflict in Yemen and to highlight France’s complicity in creating the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
