Biden wants to impose direct US military presence in Yemen: Iran’s ambassador in Sanaa

SANAA, Feb. 06 (YPA) – The Iranian ambassador to Yemen, Hassan Erlo, said that “US President Joe Biden’s decision to stop supporting the Arab coalition’s military campaign comes within Washington’s plans to impose a direct military presence in Yemen.”

“America is the greatest Satan, and we are not optimistic about Biden’s speech,” Erlo added in a tweet he posted on his Twitter account on Friday.

He pointed out that the new administration certainly has a different policy from its predecessors, which is to impose a direct political and military presence in Yemen, as happened in both Iraq and Syria.

“We must count on Allah and the Yemeni people, who have gained legendary resistance and steadfastness, and will continue until victory,” added Erlo.

Biden announced last Thursday that the United States decided to end all American support for offensive operations in the war in Yemen, including related arms sales, but he added that his country would continue to assist Saudi Arabia.
