ABYAN, Feb. 2 (YPA) – Dozens of oil tankers were seized on Tuesday by the Saudi-led coalition forces in Yemen’s southern province of Abyan, according to sources.
The sources affirmed that the Saudi-backed Islah militants seized the tankers, calling for imposing large financial royalties on fuel tankers heading to Shabwa.
The sources said that the militants imposed financial royalties estimated at 15 riyals on each liter of fuel, which led to doubling the citizens suffering in the province.
Activists on social media circulated pictures of the spread of the oil black market in the province of Shabwa, which has been stifling oil derivatives crisis for days.
