5.1 magnitude earthquake hits northern Argentina

SANAA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit on Sunday west of San Antonio de los Cupres, in northern Argentina.

The US Geological Survey stated that the quake struck at a depth of 168.65 km, and its center was determined at 24.2289 degrees south latitude and 66.9403 west longitude.

There were no reports of injuries or material damage.
