Southern Yemen figure details ambush against Al-Amaliqa brigades in West Coast
SANAA, Oct. 14 (YPA) – Southern Yemeni political figure and head of the Peace Forum to Stop the War on Yemen, Adel al-Hasani, on Wednesday revealed details of an ambush targeting Al-Amaliqa Brigades forces on the Dhubab front along Yemen’s western coast, reporting heavy human and military losses.
In a post on X on Wednesday, al-Hasani shared footage that he said documented an ambush carried out by Sanaa forces against the Saudi-backed, Salafi-oriented al-Amaliqa Brigades during clashes in the Battle of Dhubab on the western coast. He added that that dozens were killed or wounded and dozens of military vehicles and armored vehicles were destroyed.
In a related development, al-Hasani criticized Saudi-aligned media outlets and commentators who had questioned information he published two days earlier about the ambush. He clarified the footage he released refuted those doubts.
Al-Hasani also highlighted the humanitarian cost of the fighting, saying that sending young men and minors to battlefronts under the supervision of Saudi officers turns battlefield losses into a tragedy affecting hundreds of Yemeni families.
earlier in the day, the military media of Sanaa forces had released footage documenting a military operation at Dhubab Airport of Taiz aimed at driving out Saudi-backed military reinforcements.
The footage showed several military vehicles being burned or seized and a number of personnel captured.
