Teachers carry out strike in several districts of Shabwa

SHABWA, Feb. 01 (YPA) – Dozens of teachers in the schools of Shabwa province districts, especially the schools of Ataq, Ain, Mayfa’a, Habban, Saeed, and Nisab, and in the other districts, carried out a partial strike on Monday.

The teachers demanded their financial rights, complaining of procrastination from the local authority controlled by the Southern Transitional Council and Islah Party militia.

The Syndicate of Teachers in Shabwa had warned against attempting to suppress the strike by force, considering that this contravenes the constitution that provides for the right to strike.
