Anti-Islah Party factions control Al-Ma`fer heights in Taiz

TAIZ, Jan. 20 (YPA) – Armed factions of the so-called ’35th Armored Brigade” on Wednesday managed to establish their hold on heights in Al-Ma`fer District in Taiz province.

Military sources said that the anti-Islah Party factions affiliated with chief of operations of the brigade Abdulhakim al-Jebzi took control of high peaks in ‘Al-Ra’ish’ mountain in Al-Ma`fer.

The sources pointed out that this step heralds the return of tension between the military formations under the 35th Brigade.

It is noteworthy that Islah had taken control of the 35th Armored Brigade last August after bloody confrontations with the brigade’s personnel.
