Court in Taiz demands to move after being attacked

TIAZ, Dec. 27 (YPA) – A head of one of courts of Taiz city moved on Sunday to transport its headquarters after being attacked by the Saudi-backed Islah Party’s leaders.

A head of the “Al-Masrakh” court, Judge Amin Abdel-Haq, said that he was subjected to threats with one of employees of the court and received insults by the Islah leader called Mohammad Abbas.

The judge raised a memorandum to the head of the Taiz Appeals Court, in the Saudi-led coalition areas, demanded to transport the court headquarters to another area and take necessary measures against the threats.

The violations and attacks against members of the judiciary and academic staff have escalated greatly in those areas.
