Turkish security arrests 19 people for belonging to ISIS in Istanbul

SANAA, Nov. 14 (YPA) – Turkish police arrested 19 people on charges of belonging to the State Organization (Daesh)  in a security operation early Saturday in Istanbul.

Counter-terrorism division teams carried out an operation to arrest foreigners who entered Turkey illegally after a period in Iraq and Syria fighting with the group.

Security teams launched simultaneous raids on wanted in nine districts of Istanbul.

Police noted that the operation, which was conducted with the support of special forces, resulted in the arrest of 19 foreign members of the organization, as well as confiscating its organization documents and digital materials.
