SANAA, Nov. 11 (YPA) – The United States recorded more than 200,000 new cases of the new Corona virus within 24 hours, in a new record daily toll, according to data published by Johns Hopkins University on Wednesday.
The university’s data, which is considered a reference in tracking injuries and deaths resulting from Covid-19 pandemic, showed that between 20:30 on Monday evening and 20:30 on Tuesday evening (01:30 GMT Wednesday) the United States recorded 201,961 new cases of the virus and 1 .535 deaths caused by the epidemic.
This much high toll, which is attributed in part to the delay in data collection during the weekend, raises the cumulative toll of the number of people infected with HIV in the United States to 10,238,243 people, of whom 239,588 died to date.
Some cities and states imposed a curfew or limited gatherings to combat the spread of the Corona virus, but the United States did not take any action at the federal level, and wearing masks is not mandatory in 17 states.
The death rate from the disease is increasing, but at a slower rate than infections, and the United States records 880 deaths per day on average, which is an increase of nearly 10 percent within a week.
