Shura council stresses importance of improving monitoring work to combat corruption

SANAA,Nov.2 (YPA) – Shura council speaker, Mohammad Hussein al-Aidarous, stressed in an extended meeting on Monday the importance of improving monitoring work for combating corruption.

During the meeting, al-Aidarous affirmed the of the Supreme Political Council and Government’s keenness to improve the institutional, oversight and accounting work in a way that achieves positive results in fighting corruption.

The meeting discussed the role of the Supreme Authority for Tender and Auctions Supervision in combating corruption in the field of government procurement and achieving integrity, transparency and justice.

al-Aidarous stressed also the importance of integrating efforts to overcome the difficulties facing the authority in order to continue to perform its specified tasks.
