Armed clashes erupted in Taiz

TAIZ, Nov. 2 (YPA) – Taiz city witnessed on Monday a popular uprising turned to armed clashes, eyewitnesses told Yemen Press Agency.

The eyewitnesses affirmed that security chaos and cutting off the streets were carried out by gunmen and protesters due to killing two young men inside al-Rawdha hospital by Islah militants on Sunday.

The demonstrators cut off streets which led to the province building and the leadership of Taiz axis on Jamal street, burning the car’s wheels.

According to the sources, Islah sent military reinforcements including several tanks to Jamal street.

The protesters demanded to hand the killers over and every one who attacks citizens’ properties.
