ADEN, Oct. 30 (YPA) – Political activist Jaber Mohammed confirmed that newly director of “Aden Security” appointed by Saudi-led coalition, Ahmed Mohammed al-Hamidi, submitted his resignation before taking over his duties.
In a tweet, Jaber explained that al-Hamidi had asked for the nomination of another person in the post, which was appointed under the Riyadh Agreement 2, without mentioning the reasons.
Al-Hamidi was appointed three months ago by Saudi-led coalition based on the Riyadh Agreement two, however, he did not take up his duties after the UAE-based Southern Transitional Council leader, Shalal Shaye’a, refused to hand over the Aden Security Department for the past period.
