“Friday of Anger” to be held in Quds in support of Messenger
QUDS, Oct. 29 (YPA) – Head of the Supreme Islamic Authority in Quds, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, said on Thursday that next Friday will be a day of anger, in support of the Prophet Mohammed and rejection of the attempts to abuse him, and to celebrate his birth anniversary.
“Muslims reject the insulting graffiti of the Prophet Mohammed, and they will express their rejection of these uncivilized transgressions,” Sheikh Sabri said.
He added, “The offensive graphics contradict freedom of speech and freedom of opinion and expression, contrary to what they claim. In fact, they are mockery and ridicule.”
The statements of French President Emmanuel Macron about Islam moved a storm of condemnations against him, and as a result, a campaign was launched to boycott French products in a number of Arab and Islamic countries.
Macron said at the time, in press statements, that France would not abandon the caricatures, which sparked a wave of anger across the Islamic world.
