UN orgs blamed for IDPs catastrophic situation in Hodaida: Official

HODAIDA, May 19 (YPA) – Director of the National Authority for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Jaber al-Razehi, on Saturday said the UN organizations are responsible for the catastrophic situation of internally displaced people (IDPs) in Hodaida province.

Al-Razehi called on the UN and international organizations to do their duties toward the rising numbers of IDPs in the province.

The escalation of military operations in the west coast aggravated the humanitarian situation in a number of areas, leading to an increase in the number of displaced persons and in the need for urgent humanitarian assistance, al-Razehi said.

He called on businessmen in the province to extend a helping hand to the displaced, especially in the holy month of Ramadan.
