Covid-19 infection cases around world exceed 40 million

SANAA, Oct. 18 (YPA) – The novel Corona virus (Covid-19) has continued to invade the world, infecting millions of people on the planet, as the number of infection cases reached on Sunday to 40 million cases, in 215 countries and regions around the world.

This comes one day after the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that more than 400,000 new cases of the virus had been recorded within one day.

On Sunday morning, according to the statistics of “World Meter”, until 9:30 GMT, the cases of Covid-19 infection in various parts of the world rose to 40,006,239 cases.

The rate of spread of Covid-19 infection, and the rate of global infections, is proceeding very quickly, so the world is adding one million after the other to the total of infection cases in each four days.

The Coronavirus has become adding two million cases of infection every week.

So far, 1,115,202 cases have died of Covid-19 disease, while the death rate of the “Corona” virus around the world is in a continuous decline since last May.

On the other hand, nearly 30 million people have recovered from the virus.
