Residents of Bani Bakari village in Taiz denounce attacks of Islah militias

TAIZ, Oct. 10 (YPA) – The residents of Bani Bakari village of Jabal Habashi district in Taiz province organized on Saturday a protest rally, denouncing storming villages and homes by military force loyal to Islah party’s militias.

The participants raised slogans denouncing the raiding of houses, the heavy shooting with various weapons late at night, the arrest of a number of village youth, and the threat of women and the elderly, which caused a state of panic and terror among the population.

The demonstrators said that a military force include eight military pick-up vehicles stormed several villages in the region and kidnapped 15 people, including children, due to their refusal to smuggle oil derivatives to the northern governorates.
