Army forces ambush military battalion of coalition in Jawf

JAWF, Oct. 9 (YPA) – A military battalion of Saudi-led coalition forces was ambushed by the Yemeni army and popular committees near ‘Al-Khanjar’ camp, on the outskirts of Jawf province on Thursday.

This came after the spread of false news about the coalition forces’ control of Al-Khanjar camp in Al-Yatama desert of Khab Washa’f district.

Local sources explained that a military battalion of the 7th Border Guard Brigade came from ‘Al-Shaqah’ area towards Al-Khanjar camp, and when it crossed ‘Bir Al-Khanjar’, it fell into ambushes of the army forces and the popular committees.

A number of the battalion’s soldiers were killed and wounded, while three military cars were destroyed during the operation, the sources added.
