SANAA, Sept. 30 (YPA) – Iraqi police arrested on Wednesday nine takfiris belonging to “ISIS” in Sulaymaniyah district in the northeast of the country.
Alsumaria News quoted the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasul, as saying in a statement that the Counter-Terrorism Service, in coordination with the Sulaymaniyah Anti-Terrorism Regiment, arrested nine ISIS terrorist gangs belonging to the so-called Iraq Province, the southern province.

He added that arrest warrants were issued against the detainees in accordance with the provisions of the legal article “4 terrorism”, as legal measures were taken against them.

Earlier on Tuesday, a unit of Iraqi forces arrested a takfirist militant from “ISIS” in Kirkuk governorate in northern Iraq.

Last Thursday, the joint Iraqi forces launched a security operation to pursue ISIS remnants targeting the borders between Kirkuk, Salah al-Din and Diyala provinces.
