SANAA, Sept. 23 (YPA) – Transport Minister Zakaria al-Shami confirmed that Sanaa International Airport remains closed to flights by the United Nations and international organizations due to the ongoing blockade of oil derivatives by the Saudi-led aggression coalition.
The minister of transport told the Official News Agency of Yemen (Saba) that the aggression deliberately blockades and prevents the entry of oil derivatives ships into the port of Hodeidah to further the suffering of the Yemeni people, who are living in the biggest human tragedy in the world.
Al-Shami again called on the international community and the United Nations to put more pressures on the States of the coalition to lift the blockade on oil derivatives, which led to the closure of Sanaa International Airport and the paralysis of United Nations air traffic and international organizations to deliver assistance and medicines to save millions of Yemenis.
He blamed the UN for dire consequences for the Yemeni people as a result of the silence and inability to allow the entry of oil derivatives, demanding compliance with international conventions and treaties and humanitarian law.
