SANAA, Sept. 23 (YPA) – US Defense Secretary Mark Esper, during his meeting with his Israeli counterpart Benny Gantz in Washington on Tuesday, renewed the US’s preservation of the supremacy of the Zionist military entity over the countries of the region.
According to Agence France-Presse, Esper told Gantz at the Pentagon, “I want to first of all tell everyone that one of the mainstays of our defense relations is preserving Israel’s qualitative military superiority in the region,” he described.
He added, “The United States is committed to this, and the Ministry of Defense respects this commitment,” pledging to “continue to support the old American policy of preserving the security of” Israel, “as he claimed.
For his part, Gantz stressed maintaining close defense relations with the United States, noting that this matter is “a privilege, but it is also a necessity.”
He added, “This matter is linked to qualitative military superiority, but it is also linked to our important cooperation.”
“We always say that it is in our interest to share with you all that we can share with you, we will continue to do so in the future.”
Since the 1960s, the United States has guaranteed maintaining the “qualitative military edge” of the Zionist enemy entity over the Arab countries.
This policy was reinforced two years ago by a law stipulating that the US administration, when selling any weapon to another country in the region, ensures that the enemy’s entity retains the ability to defend if this weapon falls into the wrong hands.
