Iran’s Ambassador to UN: US Action to restore sanctions illegal

SANAA, Sept. 20 (YPA) – Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi has said that the US’s claims about the trigger mechanism are false and untraceable.

In a tweet late Saturday, Majid Takht Ravanchi said that “US illegal and false ‘deadline’ has come and gone.

The US is still violating  the nuclear agreement and resolution 2231 of the UN Security Council, and swimming against the international currents  would lead to further isolation,” he added

Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, in a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the President of the UN Security Council, said that America’s claims to restore sanctions, which were lifted after Resolution 2231, have no legal effect, and are null and void.
