Israeli occupation navy attack Palestinian fishermen in Gaza sea

QUDS, Aug. 16 (YPA) – Israeli occupation army boats attacked on Sunday Palestinian fishermen boats in the Gaza Sea, forcing them to leave the sea and return to the shore.

The committees documenting the violations of the Israeli navy against Palestinian fishermen said that the Israeli army boats fired from their machine guns and pumped water towards the Palestinian fishermen boats.

The Israeli Occupation Army Minister, Benny Gantz, had decided to completely close the fishing area in the Gaza Strip as of Sunday morning, under the pretext of the continued launching of incendiary balloons and rockets.

The decision to close the Gaza Sea came in conjunction with the occupation’s closure of Karam Abu Salem crossing, except for the purpose of bringing in the necessary humanitarian equipment.

Israel threatened that it would respond strongly to the continued launching of incendiary balloons towards the Gaza surroundings, and held “Hamas” movement responsible for that.
