HADHRAMAUT, July 21 (YPA) – Staff of the Ibn Sina General Hospital authority in Mukalla on Sunday staged a rally, protesting against of neglect of Hadi’s government and the local authority in Hadhramaut province.
The Protesters demanded payment of their salaries. They had went on strike, but they lift it for the sake of citizens’ lives.
“The hospital body in Ibn Sina has been marginalized over the past years and has suffered government negligence, in various respects and denial of their rights and entitlements,” said Dr. Yasser Bamtif, chairman of the authority.
“This neglect comes despite the fact that the Ibn Sina Hospital Authority is the largest and most important hospital that serves more than four provinces,” he added.
He called on Hadi’s government and the local authority to “stand by this medical edifice, which offers its soul as a sacrifice for the safety of patients coming from most of the provinces of the republic, and its members are leading the first line of defense in the face of the new Corona virus.”
It is noteworthy that the suspension of payment of salaries to the employees in the civil and military sectors, not only in the areas of authority of the Supreme Political Council and the National Salvation Government, but extended to the employees of various sectors of the state in the so-called “occupied areas”, which are under control the coalition forces.
