Libyan National Army: Turkey seeks to control Libya and North Africa to achieve old goals

SANAA, July, 19 (YPA) – Director of Moral Guidance Department in the Libyan National Army(LNA), Brigadier General Khaled Mahjoub said that Turkey “took advantage of the weakness of the Libyan situation to intervene in an effort to control Libya and North Africa on the pretext of achieving its old objectives.”

He told the Egyptian channel “Extra News”, on Friday, that the national army “refuses to describe Egypt’s assistance to the Libyan state in the face of the Turkish invasion by intervention,” pointing out that: “Egypt cannot be good without Libya.”

Mahjoub described Egypt as “the strike force that can confront Turkey politically and militarily,” stressing that the Libya and Egypt have a common destiny and a single depth.
