SANAA, July 19 (YPA) – A representative of the prosecution said that the Panamanian authorities launched an investigation, on Saturday, into the murder of seven young men near a lake 80 km north of the capital, Panama City.
According to “Reuters”, prosecutor Adolfo Pineda told reporters that the bodies of the victims, four women and three young people between the ages of 17 and 22, were found on Saturday.
He added that some people in that group managed to escape the attack and assist the authorities in their investigations.
He said some of the dead had been shot, but the cause of death had not yet been determined, and the authorities were also investigating the motive for the crime.
Local media reported that some of the families of the dead reported their disappearance on Friday. The media said the group went out to swim.
