FM meets head of UN envoy office

SANAA, May 13 (YPA) – Foreign minister, Hisham Sharaf met on Sunday in Sanaa with the head of the UN special envoy’s office to Yemen, Nicholas Davies.

At the meeting, the officials discussed the military escalation of the coalition states, which the officials said it obstructs the UN envoy’s efforts to end military operations and resume  the political negotiations.

The officials also discussed the Saudi-led coalition’s recent violations that followed the briefing of the UN Special Envoy, Martin Griffiths, to the Security Council month, including the assassination of President Saleh Al-Sammad, and targeting the presidential office in central of the capital Sanaa.

Meanwhile, the UN official stressed that the peaceful political solution as the only choice of all parties to end the war in Yemen.
