Sharp rise in number of civilian casualties in Yemen: OHCHR
SANAA, May 13 (YPA) – United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) expressed grave concern over the sharp rise in the number of civilian casualties in Yemen.
“The past April was the deadliest month for civilians, with the number of casualties increasing,” said OHCHR spokeswoman, said in a statement obtained by Yemen Press Agency.
“During April 2018, more than 236 civilians were killed and more than 238 wounded which means the double of causalities’ numbers recorded in comparison with the those announced in March this year,” she said.
