STC militias surround governor’s home of Lahj

LAHJ, July 18 (YPA) – The UAE-backed southern transitional council militias surrounded on Saturday home of Lahj governor, Ahmed al-Turki two days after an event held by the council in the province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources mentioned that military pick-up vehicles were led by Aswan al-Anshali surrounded Ahmed al-Turki home and confronted with his guards in al-Faisal city of Dar Saad district in Aden province.

Ahmed al-Turki launched an appeal for help to al-Subaiha tribes and called on for a tribal meeting.

Hours before the incident, the journalist Anees al-Subaihi revealed a sound recording, believed to be of southern transitional council leaders, discussing the assassination of Ahmed al-Turki for thirty thousand dollars.
