Russia: Number of people infected with Corona virus exceeds 700,000

SANAA, July 8 (YPA) – The headquarters of the new Corona Virus Control Operations (Covid-19) in Russia announced that 6562 new cases of the virus have been registered, including 621 cases in the capital, Moscow, bringing the total number of infections to 79,792 cases.

“During the past 24 hours, 6562 new infections with the newly created Corona virus (Covid-19) were recorded in 83 provinces in Russia, bringing the number of confirmed cases in 85 provinces to 700,792,” the operations headquarters statement said.

The Russian capital, Moscow, had the largest number of casualties, as it reached 621 and 295 in the city of St. Petersburg in the last 24 hours.
